BIOGRAPHY A.Paul was born in Lisbon (Portugal) in 1971. His first contact with music was at the age of 6 through the influence of his older sister who was really into the funky disco sound. His musical roots are deeply connected with great musicians such as George Benson, Imagination, Al Jarreau, Quincy Jones, Earth Wind and Fire, Michael Jackson, and later with Kraftwerk, true pioneers of what we now call electronic music.
He also received some electro and hip-hop vibes from the 80´s, and by the time acid house hit Europe by the end of the decade, he was already mixing for some time, making some parties with his own equipment, and his work was recognized by the portuguese dj J. Daniel, who gave him the opportunity in 91 to start playing as a resident in a club that held the capacity for a 1000 people and also invited him to work at his record shop and with whom he also released his first vinyl record in 94, on his imprint Question of Time. This record was also licensed to the mythical Italian label UMM. This was a time of great discovery in music, made A.Paul forge and polish his own style of music and skills as well, leading him to become resident of two of the most charismatic clubs at that time, Climacz in 94 and Kremlin in 96 both in Lisbon. ![]()

BIOGRAPHY
Mika was born in 1981 in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, which was part of Yugoslavia in that time. Having been interested in music since his childhood, Mika inherited his talent and love for music from his father, who has worked in the music industry for over 30 years. Influenced by his father, and his own love of music, Mika enrolled at Mostar's Abrasevic Music School when he was 9, where he wanted to learn to play the synthesiser. In both his first and second year the the Abrasevic school he finished the top of his class.Due to the Balkan conflicts, he was unable to finish his studies. After the fall of Yugoslavia, Mika's love for music remained strong, and he continued to explore all aspects of popular music at that time.
Between 1995 and 1997, Mika began to be inspired by hip-hop music, and he particularly liked artists such as Wu Tang, Cypress Hill, 2pac and so on. The genre of hip-hop, and the social commentary it provided, mirrored Mika's experiences of that time.
At the beginning of 1997, Mika reached a life changing turning point. It was then that Viva, a German television channel, aired programmes about electronic music events, like the world-famous Love Parade. This was how Mika was introduced to electronic music. After seeing events such as the Love Parade, with its energetic crowds, over the top decorations and fun atmosphere, Mika fell in love with electronic music. Then he did not ever think he would ever stand behind the mixing desk. After seeing these shows, Mika began attending a DJ course at Mostar's Pavarotti Music Centre, where he used decks and a mixer for the first time. From that moment on, Mika used any available opportunity to improve his DJ skills, whilst saving the money to buy his own DJing equipment.
After several years attending parties, learning about the electronic music scene, and improving his skills, Mika made the move to being a professional DJ in 2001. After playing a few parties, Mika started promoting techno music, which the Mostar music scene lacked. Although he did not promote techno for very long, a techno music scene developed in Mostar. In that short period, Mika managed to bring several world famous techno DJs to Mostar, and these were the first techno events of that size to be held in Mostar.
By the end of 2002, Mika began to be interested in electronic music production. In a short time, Mika's career progressed through various stages, such as DJing, promoting and producing. These various jobs helped Mika to achieve top level skills in electronic music. The shortage of production equipment in Mostar did lead to delays in Mika's production work. However, despite these problems, he managed to build a small studio, from where he released his first track for the Nitrosound label in 2005. After that, Mika released a number of tracks with world famous labels, including Mastertraxx, Submissions, Planet Rhythm, Yin Yang, Definition, Pirate Audio, Protocast and more. Most of these releases reached the playlists of top techno DJs like Space DJs, Pedro Delgardo, Ignition Technician, Mike Humphries and so on.
Mika's first solo release with the Mastertraxx label, was titled "For my brother", received world wide critical acclaim, and was played by many well known DJs. That this release was re-pressed says it all! During this time, Mika collaborated with DJ Ogi on the successful "Eastern Conference" EP, which was released by the cult label Planet Rhythm. 'Avion', a track from that release, has been licenced for the compilation, 'MayDay 2007', where it was mixed by Felix Krocher. Mika's second solo release, with Pirate Audio, has also sold out.
In order to further progress his own style, Mika plans to establish his own record label, Innervate Records. This project start at the beginning of 2008, and the first release will be presented by some of the most important contemporary names in the techno scene.
BIOGRAPHY This party freak, who's been living for music since his early childhood, penetrates deeper and deeper into the global techno scene. After many years of hard work he has become one of the leading DJs and producers from Slovenia. He is one of the rare artists that have not been occupied by the new minimal sound, but have kept their original style. In his case this is a unique dynamic mix of energetic driving tracks under the influences of many other music genres. He is a co-owner of the techno label Penetration Nation Records, where he presents his own creations, which are supported by top techno DJs around the world. More info on www.myspace.com/reaky Reaky was born in 1983 in Maribor, Slovenia. At the age of 7 he has discovered synthesizers and his musical journey has begun. He started experimenting how to make music on a synthesizer and learning how to play on it in music school for 7 years. Later in the mid 90's he became fascinated about electronic music, started listening commercial trance and house and gave up music school as he grew tired of playing only classical music and old hits. Already as a young boy his dream was to become a great music producer and a DJ. When he turned 16, he finaly got his first PC, installed primitive programs like Modplug tracker and Rebirth and immediately started producing music. It was back in the year 1999 when a 16 year old boy was already producing hardcore and drum n'bass. It was in the same year that Reaky visited his first underground techno party and from that moment on a new era began… Reaky became totally fascinated about hard minimal techno, which was very popular at that time, and immediately started producing it. As the years went by he tried producing almost every style of electronic music like techno, trance, electro, breakbeat, drum n'bass, hardcore, house, dance, downtempo, minimal, schranz… and through years of hard work and gaining experience he formed his unique driving techno style. In the year 2000 he set up his first primitive turntables & mixer and started practicing playing techno. Some months later he already preformed on small local private parties and in 2002 Reaky was booked in clubs all over Slovenia. Later that year Reaky founded Techno Jugend Organization together with his friend and organized some nice parties in club Martin Krpan in Maribor (Back to Dreams, Virginity 2). While taking a little break from organizing, he became a resident on »Confusion« party series in club STUK in Maribor, which quickly became one of the most visited parties in Maribor at that time. When spring 2003 came, Reaky got some very nice bookings in Austria and this was for the first time he played outside Slovenian borders. He also entered the first SYLD (support your local dj) competition for best slovenian newcomer DJ and with big support from partypeople he made his way to the finals. In the meantime he also got his first record deal, one of his tracks was supposed to be released on a German techno label Giant & Dwarf, but unfortunately the label stopped releasing vinyls before the track was out, so it was never released. From the year 2003 till 2005 Reaky was a co-promoter of very successful Mature Minds parties with 500-1000 party freaks on the dancefloor in club Martin Krpan. Year 2004 was very busy for Reaky, he was playing almost every weekend in almost every Slovenian club and also abroad in neighbouring countries becoming one of the most booked slovenian techno DJs in that time. But the next year was the worst. Schranz started dominating the techno scene and there were almost no place anymore for DJs with driving, groovy, funky techno. So it was time to do something about this and in spring 2005 Reaky established an organization Sonic Reactor with a purpose to promote talented techno DJs and try to arrange more performances for everybody with mutual help. At the same time Reaky's productions were becoming better and better and in september 2005 he finally got his first vinyl release. Track »Fseko« was released on Omega Audio Recordings owned by greek techno DJs Axel Karakasis and Spiros Kaloumenos. By the end of the year he also entered the »Dr.Motte - Open your mind« remix contest (www.praxxiz.de) and won the 1st place. In 2006 Reaky started again with organizing quality techno events in Maribor. This time in club STUK with his partner Rotation group. The parties called »Euphoria« became one of the hottest events in Maribor inviting techno DJs like: Eric Sneo, Ignition Technician, DJ Preach, Marko Nastic, Axel Karakasis, Spiros Kaloumenos, Aitor Ronda, Darkrow, Pedro Delgardo, Stephane Signore, Mary, Ruslan Mays, Peppelino and many more... All this Reaky's hard work with organizing and promoting techno parties since 2002 was a big contribution to techno scene in Maribor. Year 2007 came and after 8 years of producing Reaky was finally satisfied with the quality of most of his newest tracks, so releases started coming out more often. He also established his own label »Penetration Nation Records« together with his friend, dj & producer Mark Ankh. By spring of 2008 Reaky already released his driving techno tracks and remixes on labels like Penetration Nation, Omega Audio, Yin Yang, DJ Special Needs, Emphatic, Soul Access, Sound Evolution, Drakos, Invalid Error, TMM and his next creations are coming out soon also on Yin Yang, Insane Life, Analog Mode, Spseries, Techment, Standbite music and many more. Most of his releases were very successful, dominated top places of many techno charts and played by the biggest DJs on the planet. One of the latest successes was also appearance of Reaky's track »Absinthe party« on FIRE IT UP mixed CD compilation by superstar Eddie Halliwell, joining the names like Armin Van Buuren, Sander Van Doorn, Chris Liebing and others on this CD. Right now Reaky is slowly but surely becoming internationaly recognised by his unique driving techno tunes. Instead of being seduced by »minimal mania« as most of the electronic artists in the world, Reaky preserved his original techno style and he is still even improving it. His primary goal in life is to continue creating quality music, contribute to electronic music development and to make the crowd go crazy with his driving trax all around the planet. ![]() BIOGRAPHY “Odessa Soundfreaks” is a techno duo from Odessa, Ukraine.

After the phenomenal response to his debut merengue-techno releases - NO WAR IN THE SUMMER (Iturnem) - AGAINST THE WINTER (Mbelektronics) - and - RETUN TO THE SOURCE (Intec) – Montreal’s DJ Preach began touring the globe, exploring new cultures and music to add to his repertoire.
Noted for an ability to balance his own deep musical training with the ephemeral needs of the dance floor, Preach excels at injecting emotion and energy into the rhythmic, sometimes formulaic genre of techno music. Although he is only twenty-four years old, the ambitious, hard-working DJ, producer and label manager has become a key player in the continuing success of techno music in clubs and gatherings the world over.
With a slew of critically acclaimed releases for respected techno imprints including INTEC, Black Hole, Session, Primate, Zync, Symbolism, Mbelektronics, Ascend and Iturnem, Philippe Babin’s prolific production pace has allowed him to rise meteorically within the ranks of techno’s international elite. Named as "the man to watch in 2005" by Carl Cox and recognized as Marco V’s favorite producer, Preach’s tracks are regularly charted by such dance music glitterati as Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk, Mauro Picotto, Misstress Barbara, Adam Beyer, Umek, Green Velvet & Chris Liebing, to name but a few, and his passionate DJ sets have taken dance floors by storm across North and South America, Europe and Japan.
Achieving widespread production and DJing success with relative ease, 2005 sees Preach achieving yet another milestone: the growing popularity on DJ Mag’s top100 poll in 2005 ranking him in #135 – climbing 69 positions from 2004 – and the establishment of his own label, Relic Recordings, as a home for his own recordings and mixes, and as an arena within which he can continue his collaborations with like-minded electronic music artists.

Serbian DJ Marko Nastic is the latest name to emerge from the European techno scene, following Slovenian Umek and Valentino Kanzyani from Slovenia and Petar Dundov from Croatia into the international forum.
Still only in his twenties, Nastics whirlwind three-deck sets, which take in tribal and tech-house, electro and techno as well as his clubby productions for Umek and Kanzyanis Earrisistible label, have seen him make the transformation from respected local spinner to a sought-after DJ who plays all over the world.
DJing and music were always a part of Markos background: even in his pre-teen years, he was fascinated with synthesisers and drum machines and his uncle used to play Italo Disco in the 80s on Belgrade radio. This made Nastic, who was in his early teens, think about the possibilities of DJing and, when techno started filtering through to Serbia in the early 90s, his older brothers turned him on to it. However, just as techno music was becoming popular in Serbia, the Balkan conflict escalated.
Marko admits that he was too young to realise the gravity of the situation, but, like every area of life, it also impacted on his world. Things were tense, but a lot of it probably went over my head, he admits. But it meant that buying records was very difficult and the selection wasnt good. My friends went abroad to buy records and some friends that lived in London sent us material. Things have got much better since Milosevic was ousted, were free to travel and the scene in Belgrade is stronger. Still only 14, Nastic had just landed a job at Belgrades dance music shop, Happy People, where his interest in dance music was allowed to flourish
I started mixing using Technics in the shop and thats also where I made friends with people in the club scene, he explains. Nastic met Dejan Milicevic, his future partner in the Teenage Techno Punks DJ collective and, by the time he was 16, in 1997, he had landed a residency at Belgrades leading underground club, Industria, together with Milicevic. He also became the clubs programme director, strengthening his collaboration with Gordan Paunovic and Belgrades other important electronic music DJs and promoters. Industria set the standard for clubbing and DJing in the Serbian capital and Markos next project, promotional team Teshka Mashinerija also began at Industria, with a string of exceptionally successful parties. Nastic stayed at Industria for four years, before moving to the Mondo club for a year and then he resided at the Incognito club in Novi Sad.
As his DJing developed, he was a regular feature at virtually all significant techno events in Belgrade or Serbia in the 1990s. By the age of 25, he had played together with global techno luminaries like Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Kevin Saunderson, Green Velvet, Adam Beyer and Billy Nasty and, like the adoration afforded to Umek in Slovenia, he had developed a near religious following at home in Serbia. One by one, the clubbing scenes in neighbouring countries became aware of Nastics unparalleled DJing skills, and his distinctive three deck style, as well as his ability to mix up everything from Croydon-style tech house to rumbling Resse-bass style techno meant that he became a regular guest in Bosnia, Macedonia, Croatia, Slovenia, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Bulgaria.
Although electronic music in general took off in the former Eastern Bloc states from the mid-90s, Marko believes that techno is still the most popular style in Eastern Europe. Techno just keeps on getting bigger and bigger, he enthuses. Theres no doubt that Umek, together with Valentino Kanzyani gave the East European scene a higher profile internationally. Given their close links, its no surprise that the two Slovenian DJs signed Nastic to their Recycled Loops and Earrisistible labels for a six EP and album deal. The first two releases, Devil In My Pants and Lets Get High, fused Markos love of dubby, tribal house with pumping party techno and were even supported by mainstream
DJs like Fergie and Judge Jules on Radio 1. Joining the Recycled Loops team as well as signing up to Berlin DJ agency, KneDeep has seen Nastics international bookings flourishing. He did his first non-European tour in 2002, of Brazil, and now regularly plays gigs in the UK, across Asia and in Europe - and cites M47 in Hungary, U60311 in Frankfurt, Sala del Sel in Gerona and Techno Flash in Valladolid, Spain as his favourite clubs to play at.
Marko also recently completed a three-month world tour with Umek and Valentino Kanzyani to promote the Recyclopedia Electronica double CD.
Featuring the labels highlights on the first unmixed disc, CD two showcases Nastics skills as he effortlessly chops and blends his way through the labels back catalogue. Marko also recently completed a remix for Martin Hare on Dark House Music and for Alexander Koning and is working for a new label from Slovenia, Fargo - but the project currently taking up most of his time is his new label, Recon Warriors. The imprint, whose name is inspired by the Serbian armys military scouts, is the first to come from Serbia and will focus on the clubby, tribal side of techno similar to the output of UK labels like Ingoma. The first release, Zulu Samurai, by Umek, is currently available and subsequent releases are planned from Veztax from Slovenia and Austrian producers Bariqua Tribez as well as releases by Valentino Kanzyani, Marko himself and upcoming Serbian producers like Dejan Milicevic, Leon and Kobaja, which, he hopes, will win Serbians emerging scene more recognition. Its the latest step in Nastics evolution as one of techno musics most promising producers and DJs, and he believes that his background has made his path to the top more difficult than his European and American peers. It has been harder for me than others, but my theory is that if you want something badly and if you work hard for it, theres no doubt that you will succeed - no matter where you come from, he says - and its impossible to fault his passion and determination.

Phil is a DJ at heart, and has been since the tender age of just 7 (yes 7!!) although back in the early days there was nothing techno about his school disco sets, just a "load of old pop crap" as he quite bluntly said himself. It wasn't until the age of 13 when he got some professional turntables that he got into the stomping, bass driven beats of producer's like Adam Beyer and Ben Sims. Since then he's never looked back, constantly trying to improve his own DJ-ing skills.
When he turned 15 he landed a saturday job working for Pete Gawtry (aka Pedro Delgardo) at Tune Inn Records, turning full time a year later."Getting the job at Tune Inn is probably the best thing i've done because without it i might have given up a year later like so many DJ's do". After completing a music production course at college Phil quickly got on his feet with making his own tracks. And after just a few months had his first productions on vinyl with remixes for Tune Inn's Yin Yang imprint and Tec records of London.
His first full release quickly followed with the "Sumin Fresh EP" on Yin Yang, gaining masses of support from the likes of Adam Beyer, Valantino Kanzyani, Stanny Frannsen, and more. Recent productions can be found on Pirate Audio alongside Ignition Technician also recieving praise from the major players. Phil's next step will come in the form of his own label which he hopes to start in the coming year giving him a basis for his unique funky\tough techno built for the dancefloor.
Look out for forthcoming tracks from Phil with Ignition Technician and Pedro Delgardo on labels such as Primate, Player, Pirate Audio and Ignition.
